Questions That I Am Asked The Most/Did God Create Evil?

The Bible says in Isaiah 45:7 “I form light , and create darkness: I make peace and create evil: I
the LORD do all these things.”
I believe that this passage of Scripture refers to the fact that
once the Lord made creation, and called it good, that the capacity for evil was introduced into
the world. No one will question that God created Lucifer and Lucifer became evil, so if God
with His infinite understanding did not want evil, all He had to do was to not create Lucifer.
The answer is that He needed evil to be present in the world and so He purposed that it would
arise through Lucifer. Since God created Lucifer for this purpose He created evil. Does it make
God evil? Not in the least bit, and that is the paradox, God, the one who is absolutely good,
created His mirror opposite so that He could use the darkness of evil to reveal the goodness of
His own light to His chosen creatures. According to Colossians 1:16 “For by him all things
were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or
rulers or authorities–all things were created through him and for him.”
All things, including the
devil and evil, were created by Him, and they were created for Him. God did not sin, but
through His instruction, created the capability for His creations to commit evil. In doing so it
exposes our depravity without God and our need for a Savior, which He in love provided in His
Son Jesus Christ. Evil was created for the glorification of God!
