Walking By Faith In Prayer

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Faith is given by God so that we can have assurance of things hoped for. Faith is always based on the provisions God has for us, not on what we need. Faith must always fit God’s plans and purposes, not ours.

Prayer is like minded. Prayer is God’s idea , not ours. Prayer is based on faith that comes from the assurance that God answers prayer. God always answers prayers that are based on His will and desire for us to receive. Many have asked me in my day to day ministry, “Why does God not answer my prayers?” There has been times in my own life that I have wondered the same thing, “Why is this need that I am praying for, not being answered? Why is this not that important to God?” I believe what we should be asking ourselves instead is “What is the reason for my prayer? Is my prayer me centered or is it God centered?” Prayers that ask for anything you want are not biblical. They are usually based on selfish desires instead of God’s agenda for us to fulfill. We cannot pray without faith in God, His Word and His purposes.
