Prayer is the language of a man burdened with a sense of need. E.M. Bounds
Let’s lift up Derrick in our prayers this week. Derrick is currently serving a Life Without Parole Sentence inside of prison. Derrick told me yesterday that he has hurt his family immensely and that the last six years being incarcerated have affected his children negatively. Derrick loves God and there is no doubt that he has been saved, but he has been struggling to keep his family together and prove his trust to them. He asked that we pray for reconciliation of his children, and for their Salvation. Pray that they will have an acceptance toward one another, and walk in forgiveness toward each other and him. Pray that total deliverance and healing will take place in their lives and that God will give them peace, joy, and faith to overcome any doubts, fears, and condemnation. Pray that God will show them His plan for each of their lives.
After spending some time talking, Derrick handed me the above prayer request s written on a note and below them he wrote these words, “I appreciate everyone who will join me and my wife in crying out to our God for the best for our children. Thanks.”
The least or may I say the most that we can do as fellow believers is to join in prayer with Derrick and his wife on behalf of their broken family.
