Know you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:3-4
It is always exciting when you witness the baptism of new believers in Christ. I had the privilege to do just that the other week. A young man surrendered his life to Christ and wanted to to identify with Christ through baptism. Let’s keep this man lifted up in our prayers this next week as I am sure there will be warfare that will take place. Pray that he will be able to resist the enemy and overcome sin when it arises in his life. Pray that he will have a daily, disciplined quiet time in order to know the Word of God and develop a powerful life of prayer. Pray that he will continue to grow in spiritual maturity and humility. Pray that his heart would mature in faith so that he may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ. Pray that the church at St. Clair will surround him with love and support.
